BUILDINGOF THE MUGHAL NAVAL FORCES

The military was a major element of the Mughal Empires strength and integrity. Beginning with formation mobility land army which led to their victory in First Battle Panipat 1526, power grew rapidly alongside development Empire itself. In compatibility position also controlled Indian Ocean, rulers paid attention building naval force. Commencing onset that statement, purpose this article is examine approaches undertaken by Mughals strength, especially dealing enemy threats consolidating dominance Ocean. This study applied qualitative approach through historical research content analysis when collecting analyzing data from primary secondary sources. Research findings show navy built during era Akbars reign aim reinforcing several key regions, Gujarat Bengal being among them, contributed economic within kingdom. force given full post-Akbar for providing movement support presence European powers India, such as Portuguese British.
